The National Primary Care Network Additional Role Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) Salary Survey 2025
Updated: 4 days ago
Since the inception of PCNs, we've been creating resources to support the leadership and management of primary care networks. Over the years, we've become a trusted resource, with the PCN community regularly turning to us for our thoughts, experiences, advice, surveys and support, all with one goal in mind – helping improve network performance.
This year's survey comes directly from what network leaders have been telling us.
They're wrestling with making roles affordable, dealing with wide variations in salaries, working hard to keep great staff, and facing increasing competition when recruiting.
While ARRS (Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme) pay scales provide a framework, we've seen how actual compensation varies significantly across networks, regions, and roles.
We've created this anonymous survey to:
1. Map compensation variations by region and experience
2. Provide accurate market data for employers and employees
3. Help PCNs improve staff retention through competitive compensation
You can be completely confident in participating – we don't collect any identifying information.
Your 5-minute contribution will help build a free, searchable database where you can:
1. Compare salaries across regions
2. Filter by role and experience level
A quick note: we know that the employment package isn't just about salaries. It's about the full employment package; however, we've chosen to focus on salaries due to the wide disparities we've seen and PCN staff members experiencing.
