Primary Care Facilitator Recommendations
Updated: Jan 17, 2023
We are often asked to recommend primary care facilitators when team THC is unavailable.
In this blog, it is our absolute pleasure to share five excellent peers who will help you get the results you are looking for.
Please note that all the recommendations offer much more than the service I initially engaged them for, so please check out their bio’s for more details. If they can’t help you, they will likely know someone who can.
1. Ben Gowland
Ben host’s the General Practice Podcast, Former CCG CEO and founder and Director of Ockham Healthcare; I have worked with Ben on and off for five years, and we collaborate on our New to General Practice Partnership Programme and PCN Plus.
Ben is my go-to for Primary Care Network board-level facilitation.
2. Craig Brown
I first met Craig at a Management in Practice event where I saw him speak. He has a great personality, is energetic, and knows his stuff.
He is my go-to if you need a PCN leadership and management speaker.
3. Andy Coley
During the pandemic, I messaged Andy late one night to see if he could step in and facilitate a session for me as I came into contact with someone with Covid-19. He kindly took over facilitating a general practice away day and received rave reviews.
He is my recommendation if you need support with your PCN or general practice away day.
4. Monique Carayol
If you are looking for a speaker or coach, Monique is an award-winning former NHS Director. Her purpose is to build a movement of brave leaders so that together we tackle society’s fundamental needs.
Monique is my confidant and excellent at making the complex seem simple; her podcast can be found here.
5. Gary Hughes
Gary Hughes was my first-ever guest on the Business of Healthcare podcast, and I approached him due to the amazing content he shared on social media about leadership and general practice management. He has since published a book on management and published a podcast.
Gary is a regular contributor to our New to General Practice Partnership Course.
